I’m beginning to appreciate every moment of sunshine I get while chilling here in Dubai, knowing that very soon I’ll be headed back to North America to face another brutal winter of endless months of 4 PM sunsets and six layers of clothing.

The A La Menthe

This song from the French producer Nikfurrie was released circa 2006. Full of exotic sounds and a fast tempo, it’s a worthy addition to any lounge playlist, or even for a sophisticated pregame if you want to impress others with your musical knowledge. The name means “mint tea” in French, a staple of Moroccan lounges and cafes. The musical result is a sexy fusion of North African sounds with a steady rhythm.

You may remember it from the scene in Ocean’s Twelve where Nightfox dances past the moving lasers in the museum.
