Polaris At Noon

Without a doubt, Polaris At Noon is my favorite artist right now. You may remember his remix of Kimbra’s “Settle Down” that we posted just a few weeks ago. We got a ton of feedback and enthusiasm about that remix, and so I’m pretty damn sure you’ll love to hear more from Polaris At Noon (real name: Jason Suwito).

First up, this remix of “High Priestess” by Active Child is an unbelievably rich and mesmerizing tune. The original song is brilliantly sparse, with the vocals rising above music’s typical shallowness. But once Suwito adds his arsenal of slow heavy drums, synths, and various other electronic sounds, the track becomes a transcendent, meditative journey. “High Priestess” indeed – that’s probably the target audience.

Suwito proves he has versatility with this remix of KO KO’s “Float”. Unlike the calmness of “High Priestess” or the bubbly vigor of “Settle Down,” this track is an indie song at heart with a groovy bassline on top. Very catch stuff, and very likely to get stuck on repeat this summer.

You shouldn’t stop there. There are several more great remixes and originals on Polaris At Noon’s SoundCloud’s page. Have fun.
