The Lazy Days #10

Atmosphere

Atmosphere is one of those rappers who constantly produces amazing music, but doesn’t get nearly as much recognition as he deserves. I’ve loved his music for a while, and his new release “The Family Sign” is no different.

In this new album he deals with more serious topics, to do with family and the relationships within them, than previously. However, it was the direction he was headed in already -considering Slug’s previous ode to his deceased father ‘Yesterday’ for example.

Anyway, here is his first drop from the album: ‘The Last to Say’ and some old favourites of mine.

The Party #10

This is the 10th week of the Party posts, and it’s a crazy mix – filled with banging electro house, throwback hip-hop, melodic vocal house, and the kind of dubstep that makes you want to dance rather than die.

Highlights: Alive by Dirty South & Thomas Gold is the new clubbing anthem of Summer ’11, you’ve gotta get it; Dillon Francis revisits his dubstep roots in the remix of Stereo Hearts – it’s a bit all over the place and so much fun; Aylen & ThatMoment turn Avicii’s latest huge hit into a much crazier song with oomph and bass; and for nostalgia’s sake, check out the awesome Matamatics remix of Best I Ever Had.
